For new vehicles with a Canbus connection, the problem with connecting a trailer or bicycle rack with LED lighting is that the on-board computer of the towing vehicle displays an error message. This Carpoint LED Canbus converter solves malfunctions or other error messages, when used in combination with a car and a trailer or bike carrier with LED lighting.  The Carpoint Canbus adapter communicates with the Canbus system of the base vehicle. The adapter has a 13-pole connection to a 7-pole connection and can easily be placed between the connection of the car and the trailer or bike carrier.
